This 10-week course is for beginners who want to learn basic computer skills. You will learn about Microsoft programs that many people use every day. The course is easy to follow and will help you feel more confident using a computer.
What You Will Learn
Each week, you will learn about a different topic:
- Windows 10 and Windows 11:
- Learn how to use the Windows system on your computer. You will also learn how to keep your computer safe.
- Microsoft 365:
Find out about Microsoft 365, which includes tools to help you organise your work and save files.
- Microsoft Word:
Learn how to write and format simple documents, such as letters and reports.
- Microsoft PowerPoint:
Discover how to make interesting presentations using pictures and designs.
- Microsoft Excel:
Learn how to create tables and charts. You will also practise doing basic maths with Excel.
- Online Safety and Email:
Find out how to stay safe online and learn how to use email.
Prerequisites
You do not need to know about computers to join this course. It is for complete beginners.
Progression
When you finish the course, you will:
- Understand the basics of using a computer.
- Know how to use Microsoft programs like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Be ready to join a more advanced computer course.
